The Middle Belt edition of the MoMo Fintech Lab, held at KNUST in Kumasi, ended on Nov. 2 with a telling result. Welfare Hub, built by Team Kasa, won with a platform that automates welfare contributions and payments for associations, as Noble News reported. The runners-up — Susu Vault, EaziPay and Merchant ShiftBook — all advance to the national finale in Accra.

Read the list again: associations, savings groups, merchants. The MobileMoney Fintech Lab's own regional pattern, reported through the zonal phase, put the Middle Belt's focus on SME and merchant tools. The founders closest to Kumasi's traders are building for the businesses around them.

Those businesses are most of Ghana's economy. UNDP puts MSMEs at 92% of registered businesses in the country, and the MSME Digital Gateway — launched June 29, 2026 by the Ghana Enterprises Agency with UNDP and GI-KACE — now gathers registration guidance, compliance help, finance and learning in one place.

What a gateway cannot do is set the systems up inside a shop. An SME digitisation pack is plain work: payments that reconcile at the end of the day, inventory that matches the shelf, records that talk to each other instead of living in three notebooks and a phone. Set up on site, with the owner trained on it.

KSPACE TECHNOLOGIES delivers that pack as systems integration and field setup for small and mid-sized businesses — installed, connected and supported after the visit.
