Autonomous mobile robots guide pickers at ShipBob's fulfilment centre in Aurora, Illinois, the company's blog said in an update on Nov. 3, 2026, with the company claiming the robots deliver two to three times the throughput. The same update said its Bobby AI assistant is generally available, and that ShipBob MCP connects the platform to Claude and ChatGPT.
Treat the throughput figure as a company claim, as ShipBob presents it. The wider point stands without it: robots on the floor, an assistant in the dashboard and outside AI tools connected to the platform only help if the warehouse management system, inventory data and picking workflow agree with each other.
Peak season does not forgive integration debt. It collects it.
Field teams know the timing rule. AMRs, scanners and system connections must be installed, tested at real volume and corrected before the spike arrives, because during the spike there is no quiet hour to fix a workflow. That is why KSPACE TECHNOLOGIES treats peak readiness as field deployment work scheduled weeks ahead, not emergency support.
If your peak is still ahead, run one full-volume test day now: robots, scanners, inventory counts and exception handling together. Fix what breaks in the test, while a broken test is still cheap, instead of discovering it on the busiest night of the year.
