Rockwell Automation has previewed its stand for SPS 2026 in Nuremberg, running Nov. 24 to 26, under the theme From Automation to Autonomy, Automation News reported on Nov. 1, 2026. The showcase includes FactoryTalk Conductor, described as an AI-native orchestration platform connecting AI agents, skills and workflows to automation software.

An orchestration layer sits on top. It can only coordinate what the systems underneath expose cleanly: consistent data, clear permissions, reliable interfaces, and workflows that already make sense on paper. If the instruments are out of tune, a conductor does not fix them.

That is the vendor-agnostic lesson. The brand of the orchestration platform matters less than the integration beneath it.

Plants considering this class of tool should first inventory the automation software, historians, maintenance systems and reporting tools an agent would need to touch, then test one narrow workflow end to end before widening it. KSPACE TECHNOLOGIES approaches that groundwork as systems integration work first, and automation ambition second, because the order decides whether the result holds.

Ask any orchestration vendor a plain question before buying: show this working on systems like ours, with our data and our permissions. If the demonstration needs a clean, imaginary plant, the real plant is not ready yet, and integration is the next project.
