Klabs Ventures Studio has launched the Startup Build Credits Initiative — up to C$5,000 in technology development credits for founders ready to turn ideas and prototypes into market-ready products.

The initiative supports entrepreneurs at different stages of the journey: first-time founders with a validated idea, builders who created an app with AI tools and need professional engineering to make it production-ready, and early-stage startups preparing to scale.

As AI-powered development tools make it easier to create software, many founders discover that the prototype is only the beginning. Turning it into something reliable, secure, and commercially viable — software engineering, product design, integrations, deployment, commercialization support — is where most get stuck. The build credits go directly toward those services, delivered by Kspace Technologies.

Seven targeted offers sit under the initiative: the Idea to MVP Fund, Vibe Code to Venture for AI-built apps, LaunchPad Credits, the Second-Chance Startup offer for stalled projects, Prototype to Market, Website to Mobile App, and Commercialization & Scale support.

"Building something is only the first step. The real opportunity comes from turning that idea into a product people can use, trust, and pay for," said Klabs Ventures Studio.

Credits are non-cash development credits applied toward qualifying services — not cash grants — and applications are reviewed for project suitability, technical feasibility, and commercial readiness. A limited number of opportunities are available for Q4 2026.

Founders can apply here. Early applications are encouraged.
