The 24-Hour Economy Secretariat has extended expressions of interest for tenancy at the Legon Pharmaceutical Innovation Park — LePIP — to Oct. 31, 2026, as the Ghana Guardian reported. The pitch is large: a 2,000-acre industrial ecosystem in Osudoku and Ningo-Prampram, starting with a 40-hectare pilot pharmaceutical manufacturing platform.

The published plan includes shared utilities, central quality-control and testing laboratories, warehousing, cold-chain and digital infrastructure, and a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Centre of Excellence with the University of Ghana. Phase 1 is projected to carry more than 3,000 direct jobs.

Every one of those shared services is, underneath, an information system. A central QC lab runs on sample tracking and results data that regulators can audit. Cold chain is sensors, alerts and records that prove a product never left its temperature range. Warehousing is inventory that matches the physical shelf. None of it can be retrofitted cheaply once tenants are operating.

Greenfield sites have one advantage: the IT can be designed before the concrete sets — network routes, server and backup placement, access control for shared facilities, and the data standards every tenant's systems will have to meet.

That design-and-deploy work — industrial networks, lab and warehouse systems, monitoring — is systems integration, and it is what KSPACE TECHNOLOGIES does for manufacturing and industrial clients.
